The German Lutheran Church.

The German Lutheran Church.

The German-speaking Lutheran congregation in Llanelli, has held its monthly Church-Services at the Llanelli Disabled Drivers' Association, Social Centre in Albert Street for many years, and we were made very welcome from the beginning. Since we had to sell our much loved "Church House" in Coleshill Terrace, the DDA Social Centre has become our second home.

This year our congregation celebrates its 60th Anniversary. We are only a small group, but we are proud of our "German-speaking" Church Services.

The Llanelli Branch of Carers UK started in 1993 by Mrs E.Evans MBE and other carers. The branch meets on the last Wednesday of each month between 7 and 9pm in the Coleshill Social Centre, and all are welcome to attend. The evening is given to discussion on carers issues and information, invited speakers, and members also have the opportunity to get involved with other leisure and social activities such as going out for meals.

The branch works regularly with social services and the local health authority to ensure that carers have a voice in their work and their planning of services. Most recently carers from the branch were involved in a training course to raise awareness and understanding on how caring can effect peoples lives.  For further information contact Elizabeth Evans on 01554 756538
